About Me

Improving My Looks When I decided to start dating again after the loss of my husband, it occurred to me that I needed to do what I could to look a little better. I began working harder at the gym and focusing on doing my hair, and it really seemed to make a visible difference. Within a few months, I felt like I was looking better and feeling like myself, and I was impressed with how much help beauty and fashion blogs were. I wanted to begin my own website dedicated to beauty, so check out these great posts to make your next event easier to get ready for.

Ways To Make Your Beauty Routine More Eco-Friendly

If you are interested in the environment and helping to course correct climate change and other environmental issues in the world, you may be looking for ways to make yourself and your life more eco-friendly. There are many areas of your life, of course, that can be improved upon to make it more eco-friendly. One such area is your beauty routine. Get to know some of the ways that you can make your beauty routine more eco-friendly. Then, you can start making adjustments to your routine as soon as possible.

Use Natural Bath Products

One of the ways that you can go about improving your beauty routine to make it more eco-friendly is to use natural bath products. There are several different ways that you can go more natural with your bath products. Using products made with essential oils for scents rather than artificial perfumes, for example, can improve your eco-friendliness (and will be better for your body).

Soaps and shampoos that are paraben-free and made with natural soaping agents can really reduce the number of chemicals that go down your drains and into the water supply. Apple cider vinegar is one ingredient to look for in natural hair care products as it works as an excellent conditioner for hair.

The more of your products you switch to natural bath products, the better you will feel about your eco-friendliness, and the better you will do to help prevent artificial chemicals from getting into the water system.

Use Reusable Makeup Remover Cloths

Another way that you can improve your beauty routine to make it better for the environment is to stop using disposable makeup remover cloths. Those clothes end up in a landfill somewhere and take up a great deal of space. Even at one cloth a day, that's 365 cloths a year!

So, use a natural bath product like a facial oil or cleanser and apply it to a reusable makeup remover cloth (which you can find in most beauty supply stores or online). Wash the makeup off your face, rinse the cloth, and either reuse it the next day or wash it for future use. It is that simple. These cloths are durable and soft on the skin to prevent irritation. Get enough cloths to last you the week and then wash them once a week with your towels.

Now that you know a few ways to make your beauty routine more eco-friendly, you can start making changes to your routine right away.
